Have you ever wondered what makes a man? It all depends on the Y chromosome. This tiny piece of DNA determines the sex of a human male. But scientists are growing concerned: The Y chromosome is shrinking.

Could this mean the end of man? And what it will mean for the future of mankind?

What is the Y chromosome?
The two sex chromosomes in humans is the ‘Y chromosome’ & the other is the ‘X chromosome’. Females have two X chromosomes (XX), while males have one ‘X chromosome’ & ‘Y chromosome’ (XY). The ‘Y chromosome’ carries the genes that develop ‘Male’ characteristics…

But here’s the catch:

The ‘Y chromosome’ is much smaller than the ‘X chromosome’… In fact, it is the smallest human chromosome. Over millions of years, it has lost its genes & became rare… Some scientists believe that if this trend continues, then Y chromosome could disappear altogether.
