Lonely Star!

Shine, shine, little star,
I wonder who you are.
Far above the world,
Yet alone, you rip through the night.
Once, I thought your life was joy,
Guiding the hearts that loved you.
But now I see, your steady glow
Hides a sadness that few can know.
Does the sky, so vast and wide,
Feel the pain inside you?
Or do you long for company,
Amid the darkness, the eternity?
Human hearts, like stars, can break,
When love is gone, and the shadows awaken.
Loneliness, a silent thief,
Steales joy and leaves sadness.
Shine, shine, far away,
I pray a silent wish for you:
That someone will see your light and care,
To ease your loneliness!
