Infosys Fires 700 Freshers (India’s IT Job Crisis) —

The Indian IT industry is slowing down; job cuts are becoming the new norm. One of India’s biggest IT companies, Infosys, fired 700 new hires not long ago because they failed internal tests. The move has caused a discussion about how the industry hires and trains workers.

Infosys is known for having a tough hiring process. Every year, it hires thousands of recent college graduates. The company does, however, also do internal assessments of its Employees’ Skills.

The Freshers are often thrown out if they don’t meet the standards. These Companies say that these assessments ensure quality; But losing so many new employees at once is a very big problem.

The Companies often try to get new employees by telling them their jobs will grow and stay stable. They go through months of training to learn. How to work with the company’s culture & meet technical needs.

But when companies fire workers based on a Single Evaluation. It makes people wonder how committed they are to developing their workforce.
